Vision
Sanctuary Church is dedicated to reaching the Lake Country area of Waukesha County, WI, with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In well off suburban areas like the Lake Country, many people realize even after they “have it all” – the great job, the house, the car and the life they’ve always dreamed of, there still seems to be something missing. That’s because they haven’t made room for God in their lives. Our hearts were made for God, and we cannot be at peace without a connection to Him. Sanctuary Church wants to help people make that connection.
We want our church community to be characterized by faithfulness to God’s Word, and absolute reliance on the power and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We're dedicated to building a healthy community where we may grow in faith and love together. Our commitment is to a meaningful ministry that makes a positive impact in people’s lives.
We look to the Bible to teach us about who God is, who we are, and why the world is the way it is. The Scriptures reveal the truth about our condition and how to receive forgiveness and new life in Christ. As we grow in grace, we look forward to what awaits us in the future. People need answers and the Scriptures offer them, as they always have to those with ears to hear.
The Holy Spirit connects us to God, giving us a relationship with Jesus. The Holy Spirit works miracles, signs, wonders, and spiritual gifts that demonstrate God's ability to meet all our needs. Every church needs the life and vitality that only the Holy Spirit can provide.
Our church consists of people who are committed to Jesus Christ and each other. We learn how to grow socially and bless others with love, friendship, and care, giving to others what we have been blessed to receive.
The ministry at Sanctuary Church expresses our service in three areas. We serve God in prayer and worship. We serve Christians by encouraging them in their relationship with Jesus. We serve non-Christians by sharing with them the good news of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection on their behalf.
